156m of a 1.4m diameter sewer has been relined and rehabilitated, stretching from King’s Street to Lover’s Lane.


In just under six weeks the main sewer at Line Wall Road has undergone a structural facelift, whereby the structural integrity has been reaffirmed and has ended preparing the main sewer at Line Wall Road for the next 30 to 50 years.

The first pipe relining happened in 1971 in London by Mr Eric Wood. This pipe is still there and yet fit for its purpose. The past 50 years or so in relining history has brought about many advances which hope to set this technology up for an even longer lifespan.
